CIRCULOOS participated in the Madeira Digital Transformation Week 2024, held in Funchal, Portugal, to highlight how digital technologies can accelerate the transition to a circular economy. Representatives from the consortium presented tools and methodologies—such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)—that support the evaluation and advancement of circular practices in manufacturing.
CIRCULOOS partners SUPSI and Innomino were present at the event, that provided a platform to showcase CIRCULOOS’s ongoing work and to connect with stakeholders interested in applying for the project’s open calls and exploring opportunities for collaboration in building data-driven, circular supply chains.
At the event, SUPSI presented their questionnaire-based method for assessing the business model changes needed to adopt circular practices. They highlighted the role of R-strategies and tools like LCA and LCSA, supported by case studies from the plastic, leather, and wood sectors. Innomine represented CIRCULOOS, presenting the project and joining a roundtable with key manufacturing stakeholders. They emphasized collaboration opportunities, promoted the Expression of Interest, and sparked strong interest—particularly from Digital Innovation Hubs.
