Meet the OC Winner: RECONCRETE

1. Can you briefly introduce your team? What’s your story and what drives you?

Our team brings together three complementary SMEs: Aridditive (Spain), ParaStruct (Austria), and Bridge the Gap (Spain). We are driven by the shared mission of transforming waste into value. Aridditive pioneers in concrete 3D printing, ParaStruct develops sustainable binders from construction waste and Bridge the Gap ensures market alignment and impact. Together, we aim to reshape urban infrastructure through circular innovation.

2. In simple words, what is your project about and how is it linked with CIRCULOOS?

RECONCRETE turns industrial waste into beautiful, durable urban furniture using 3D printing. We use slag and construction waste instead of cement, reducing emissions and landfill use. CIRCULOOS tools help us track environmental impact, optimise our supply chain, and validate our circular model.

3. How did you come up with this project idea/concept and what innovative benefits will it bring to the end users?

The idea emerged from our experience in sustainable construction and the urgent need to reduce cement’s carbon footprint. By combining ParaStruct’s slag-based binder with Aridditive’s 3D printing, we offer municipalities and developers a low-carbon, customisable, and cost-effective alternative to traditional concrete furniture.

4. What type of synergies do you want to explore/are already exploring with other circular economy partners?

We’re already collaborating with waste suppliers like Sorigué and Xella Group, and urban furniture companies like Escofet and Benito. We aim to expand these synergies to include large-scale distributors, municipalities, and digital twin developers to scale our solution.

5. What are your plans for the future when it comes to the development of your ideas & projects?

Our next step is scaling through Open Call 3.2, integrating large partners and demonstrating industrial-scale production. We envision RECONCRETE becoming a mainstream solution for sustainable urban infrastructure across Europe.
