💬 During a roundtable discussion on the circular textile industry, Cecília Mezei presented the results of our leather pilot, highlighting the specific challenges facing the sector and leather raw materials, as well as potential solutions.
👥 The discussion brought together key figures from the sector, including Dr. Anikó Raisz, State Secretary for the Environment and Circular Economy, and industry leaders like Bence Hunyadi from Textrade Kft. and Katalin Kovács from Kaposvári Hulladékgazdálkodási Nonprofit Kft.
A key takeaway from the session was the importance of digital solutions in enhancing supply chain sustainability—a focus area for the CIRCULOOS project.

Thermolympic, a family-owned plastic injection molding company based in Spain, plays a key role in CIRCULOOS Use Case 1: Controlling and recycling plastics. Partnering with CONTENEDORES LOLO SL and Canonical Robots , Thermolympic contributes as a demonstrator, providing its facilities, machinery, and technical expertise to develop and validate innovative solutions for incorporating recycled materials into manufacturing processes, promoting circularity and sustainability in the plastics industry. 🏭

The AI REDGIO 5.0 Second Open Call is open!
The EU-funded AI REDGIO 5.0 project is advancing Industry 5.0 manufacturing SMEs through AI-at-the-Edge. Its second open call will select up to 10 SME-driven experiments to enhance solutions, products, or processes in manufacturing. Focus areas include: 1. AI-at-the-Edge – combining Data, AI, Cloud, Edge, and IoT, and 2. Industry 5.0 – Human-Centric, Sustainable Manufacturing.
