CIRCULOOS Webinar Recap: How to Apply to the Expression of Interest

On December 11th, CIRCULOOS held its second webinar, aimed at guiding participants through the application process for the Expression of Interest (EOI) phase. The session attracted 62 participants and provided valuable insights into the project’s objectives, the RAMP platform, and funding opportunities available through CIRCULOOS sibling projects, AIRISE and AI REDGIO 5.0. If you missed it, you can still catch up by visiting the CIRCULOOS Open Calls page.

The webinar began with a warm welcome from Clara Pont of Mobile World Capital Barcelona and Themis Kolyvas of European Dynamics, who outlined the agenda. Anastasia Garbi, also from European Dynamics, introduced the CIRCULOOS project, highlighting its mission to empower manufacturing SMEs with digital tools and strategies for circular supply chains. Her presentation showcased the project’s three pilot initiatives in the plastics, leather, and wood industries, demonstrating practical applications of circular economy principles.

Expression of Interest (EOI) Overview

Tiphaine Agathe Vigniel from F6S detailed the EOI phase, highlighting it as an excellent opportunity to get ready to the upcoming Open Call #2. This phase focuses on forming consortia for upcoming open calls, with matchmaking activities supported by the RAMP platform. Eligible participants include manufacturers, recyclers, and other circular supply chain actors. Funding opportunities of up to €60K per partner are available, with a maximum of €240K per consortium.

RAMP Platform Walkthrough

Panos Bouklis from European Dynamics provided a comprehensive walkthrough of the RAMP platform. Designed as a one-stop shop for matchmaking and collaboration, RAMP enables participants to post and respond to service requests, browse solutions, and connect with potential partners to build consortia for circular economy projects.

Funding Opportunities from the I4MS2 projects

Harry Bikas from AIRISE and Naia Muruanga AI REDGIO 5.0 presented additional funding avenues. AIRISE offers up to €60K for AI-driven sustainability projects, while AI REDGIO’s open call focuses on AI at the edge and industry 5.0 solutions.

The session concluded with a dynamic Q&A, where attendees posed questions about eligibility criteria, consortium composition, and funding structures. Speakers clarified key aspects of the application process, emphasizing flexibility and the collaborative nature of the program.
