The CIRCULOOS consortium gathered in Budapest on November 18–19, 2025 for its General Assembly, hosted by Innomine. This meeting brought together partners from across Europe to review the project’s achievements and align on the next steps in advancing circular manufacturing for SMEs. Over two days, the consortium assessed key developments in the project’s technical tools, pilot implementations, and strategic planning for the next review phase.
Spotlight on the Open Call #2 Winners
A major highlight of the Assembly was the presentation of results from Open Call #2. The selected demonstrators (EXDs), now actively integrating CIRCULOOS solutions, are piloting innovative circular supply chains.
The EXDs not only validate the effectiveness of the CIRCULOOS tools but also enhance them, contributing reusable components to the platform and fostering value chain collaboration via the RAMP ecosystem.
Visit at MULTI-FELT Showroom
Partners also visited the MULTI-FELT Factory showroom, winner of CIRCULOOS Open Call #3.1. MULTI-FELT’s approach to circular felt production from textile and industrial residues is a demonstration of how design, tradition, passion and sustainability can align to reshape material lifecycles. The visit offered attendees a first-hand look at an inspiring example of circular economy in action. Read more about MULTI-FELT here.
Pilots looking forward to show circularity in action
All three CIRCULOOS pilot projects reported on progress, get to know the project overview objectives here:
- Plastic Recycling (Spain): CIRCULOOS works for Thermolympic (THER) and CANONICAL (CAN) to acquire certified and high-quality recycled plastic from additional sources other than only the customer themselves.
- Leather Waste Remanufacturing (Hungary): CIRCULOOS will enable scalable collaboration for the stakeholders interested in leather industry circularity
- Sustainable Wood for Construction (Netherlands): Circu Leren, Plennid, and Herso are building a scalable network for reclaiming and reprocessing wood into high-quality materials for interiors and construction.
These pilot-driven insights are essential to refining the CIRCULOOS platform and creating a replicable model for other SMEs in Europe.
