CIRCULOOS at MWC25 in Barcelona

Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona once again proved to be the premier global connectivity event, attracting 109,000 attendees from 205 countries. As one of the key partners behind the CIRCULOOS project and the organiser of this annual event, Mobile World Capital provided CIRCULOOS with a unique platform to gain visibility, engage with key stakeholders, and showcase its impact on sustainable manufacturing and technology.

CIRCULOOS was present at both 4YFN, the startup-focused parallel event, and the main MWC exhibition, ensuring broad outreach across different audiences. This dual presence allowed CIRCULOOS to connect with both emerging startups and established industry leaders, maximising its impact and fostering new collaborations.

CIRCULOOS at the MWCapital stands (MWC25 & 4Y4N)

CIRCULOOS had a strong presence at the MWCapital Stand in both 4YFN and the main MWC event. In addition to the presence of CIRCULOOS promotional materials and the project participating in various sessions (as explained below) a promotional video about CIRCULOOS was continuously played on a TV screen next to the information point of the MWCapital Stand at 4Y4N, ensuring that attendees were exposed to the project’s mission and activities.

CIRCULOOS in key sessions

Several key sessions at the MWCapital stand featured CIRCULOOS, providing opportunities to discuss its objectives, ongoing initiatives, and the broader impact of the project.

  • ‘Women in Tech’ session on Tues. March 4th (4Y4N)

On Tuesday, March 4th, CIRCULOOS was featured in the “Women in Tech” session at MWCapital’s stand during 4YFN. Anastasia Garbi, CIRCULOOS coordinator from European Dynamics, participated in a roundtable discussion on “Women in Manufacturing,” led by Virginia Gomez from Sploro. The discussion, titled “Could Women Lead the Next Wave of Tech Innovation?”, explored diversity’s role in driving innovation, the challenges women face in a rapidly evolving industry, and the skills and strategies necessary for future leadership in technology. This panel provided attendees with actionable insights and a vision for empowering the next generation of women in deep tech.

  • ‘EU Networking’ session on Wed. March 5th (MWC25)

On Wednesday, March 5th, CIRCULOOS was highlighted again in the session “EU Networking: Elevate Your Funding Opportunities” at MWCapital’s stand in the main Mobile World Congress event. This session allowed organisations to pitch their involvement in EU-funded projects, fostering potential collaborations and strengthening consortia. Anastasia Garbi (European Dynamics) and Elia Ruiz (SUPSI) presented the CIRCULOOS project, highlighting its objectives and encouraging attendees to explore upcoming open calls. Anastasia Garbi provided an overview of the project, emphasising its contributions to sustainable manufacturing and circular economy initiatives. Meanwhile, Elia Ruiz introduced the GRETA tool, demonstrating its application within CIRCULOOS and its potential impact on improving resource efficiency in the industry.
