Challenge

Production data is often fragmented across shop-floor systems, making it difficult for manufacturers and assemblers to build reliable product-level Digital Product Passports across multiple suppliers.

Solution

LOOP-E connects real-time production data, AI analytics, NGSI-LD interoperability and Digital Product Passports across a live industrial value chain, from components to finished appliances. The project combines Simtera’s AIoT platform with The Data Cooks’ DPP orchestration to capture verified production data and aggregate supplier information into product-level passports. This creates a more consistent and traceable data flow across the manufacturing chain, helping companies move from isolated production records towards interoperable product information.

Impact

LOOP-E estimates around €6.9 million in combined five-year revenue across its two technology offerings, supported by defined market and commercial trajectories. The project is also using GRETA to calculate operation-level CO₂ and Global Warming Potential indicators from real production data. By linking measured shop-floor performance with Digital Product Passports, LOOP-E helps manufacturers base circularity decisions on verified operational data rather than only on retrospective reporting.
