We are thrilled to announce that the CIRCULOOS Open Call #3.2 is officially open as of today, April 8, 2026!
Following our successful previous funding rounds, this new call focuses on “Value-Chain Extension”. We are inviting single entities to join our established circular ecosystems as strategic partners to address specific “missing links”—such as technical bottlenecks, supply shortages, or market gaps—that are currently limiting the scale or efficiency of our funded value chains.
🎯 Who Can Apply?
Open Call 3.2 is strictly dedicated to single entities based in eligible European and associated countries capable of immediate industrial implementation. We are looking for:
- Manufacturing MSMEs: Producers, or technology/service suppliers for manufacturing applications.
- Circular Economy Enablers: Recycling and processing companies, waste collectors, upcyclers, and repairers.
- Technology Providers & System Integrators: Entities offering specific technical solutions like AI, automation, robotics, or data management.
- Research Organizations & Universities: Eligible provided they develop and deploy their technical solution into the pilot.
🛤️ The Two Application Tracks
Applicants can provide their solutions through one of two complementary tracks:
- Track A: OC2 Enhance (The “Missing Links”): Focuses on adding new partners to the 15 Demonstrators previously funded under Open Call 2, helping them resolve specific implementation gaps and reach operational scale.
- Track B: Pilot Extensions: Focuses on strengthening the three core CIRCULOOS Pilots (Wood, Leather, Plastic) by introducing new R-strategies or increasing the volume of recovered materials. (Note: In the event of tied scores, priority will be given to proposals addressing the Wood Pilot ).
💰 What We Offer
Selected entities will enter a 6-month implementation program. The financial support includes:
- A fixed lump sum grant of up to €60,000 per entity.
- A funding rate of 60% for commercial entities, which requires applicants to contribute 40% of their own funds. (Research Organizations and Universities are entitled to a 100% funding rate ).
