Expanding the CIRCULOOS Ecosystem Through Open Calls
One of the key ambitions of the CIRCULOOS project is to extend its impact beyond the initial consortium by engaging external innovators, manufacturers, and technology providers. To achieve this, the project has launched a series of Open Calls designed to attract new partners and innovative solutions that can strengthen circular manufacturing supply chains across Europe.
The Open Call process began with an Expression of Interest (EOI) phase, which served as an entry point for organisations interested in joining the CIRCULOOS ecosystem. Through the RAMP (Robotics and Automation Marketplace) platform, participants could create profiles, submit matchmaking requests, and identify potential partners with complementary expertise. This collaborative approach helped stakeholders prepare for the upcoming funding opportunities by forming strong consortia aligned with the project’s circular manufacturing objectives.
To further support consortium formation, CIRCULOOS organised webinars, targeted communication campaigns, and a dedicated online matchmaking event, where participants could present their capabilities and explore collaboration opportunities. These outreach efforts successfully attracted organisations from multiple industrial sectors and 12 countries, highlighting the growing interest in circular-economy innovation and collaborative manufacturing solutions.
Building on the insights gained from the Expression of Interest phase, the project is now preparing the next stages of its Open Calls. Upcoming calls will invite manufacturers, technology providers, recyclers, and research organisations to contribute new solutions that can enhance the CIRCULOOS pilots and strengthen circular value chains.
By opening its ecosystem to external innovators, CIRCULOOS aims to accelerate the development of scalable, data-driven circular manufacturing solutions, fostering collaboration across Europe and supporting the transition toward more sustainable industrial systems.
